In November 2005 in Rome there was held a conference on the topic of materials used for food product packaging. Law questions of this field were highly discussed, particularly the free trading between the European Union members, migration as a source of packaging and initial food products spoil, consumer defense and product security, reusing of materials, “intelligent” and “active” packaging, new EU regulations in this area, traceability and its importance in the packaging world.
